Hip-Hop's Wealthiest

Forbes released a list of the Hip-Hop industries top earners. Here they are with their worth and what has helped them earn their money.

1. Diddy/$475 Million: Bad Boy Records, Sean John and Ciroc Vodka.
2. Jay-Z/$450 Mill.: 50 Mill. records sold, New book, Roc-a-fella Clothing, Restaurant/Club ventures.
3. Dr. Dre/$125 Mill.: Producing Records, Selling Records, Beats by Dre Headphones, Ads.
4. 50 Cent/$100 Mill.: Involved in the Vitamin Water sale to Coke, Records, G-Unit Clothing.
5. Birdman/$100 Mill.: Lil' Wayne.

Forbes' Methodolgy for calbulating the worth: "In order to form the list, we followed the same procedures we use to calculate the list of the world’s billionaires (released today) — valuing current holdings, looking at past earnings, leafing through financial documents and talking to a bevy of analysts, attorneys, managers and other industry players to find the nitty-gritty details. We considered only performers, which is why hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons isn’t on this list."

Passports By State x Red and Blue States

I realize it the second map of the US I have put up this week but I couldn't resist posting this one. The map on top refers to passport ownership by state, with the highest being NJ, and the lowest being Mississippi. The bottom map is a break up the 2008 election by state electoral votes, the choices Obama or McCain. The similarity are there, but not enough for direct correlation. So is there any sort of link between passport owners and general political affiliation by geographical area? If so, what does that say about people who use passports...hmm, you tell me. RIP B.I.G.

Today marks 14 years since Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious BIG was shot and killed in LA, and as they should be, most of his songs are still played like he has album coming out. The video for "hypnotized" is still one of my favorites of all time, and I think it set a standard for all music videos after it.

Comedians by State

The Huff Post breaks down some of their favorite comedians by their state origin. WA got Joel McHale, the UW alumni who actually played football for the Huskies for two years. Click here to see who's funny elsewhere in the country.

Lamborghini Aventador

The newest addition to Lamborghini's line of automobiles was released today at the Geneva Auto Show. Starting with an MSRP of $379,700, a top speed of 217 MPH, and ridiculous MPG of 17 the Aventador makes a Porshe Boxster look like the slow kid on the track team...
