I have been wondering when GQ would do a feature on airport and travel attire, because although it depends the purpose of your travels, dressing for the airport can sometimes be a struggle. It features Spanish tennis pro Fernando Verdasco, read the article here.

Who Feels It Knows It
The artist is Romain Virgo, a young man from Kingston, Jamaica who released his freshman album in June. At 17 he won Jamiaca's version of America Idol and has been refered to as the islands Justin Beiber... His voice and lyrics are little more passionate to me than Justin's, but the comparison probably doesn't hurt.

There is much to say about this guy. According to his website his music career got off to a rough start years ago, you could say it started backwards in fact because his music found itself first in film. He has a long list of movies and commercials he has written music for, and now he is developing his career as a single artist. His mixtape is out for free, which the video above is featured. Check out his website too, I admire this guy's creativity and endeavor.
This is how artists get their name out these days, through the persistent sharing of (free) music.. keep it going. Via Karen Civil.

Fairfax (at night)
My temporary neighborhood for the summer which is tucked away in West Hollywood is formally known as the 'Fairfax District.' As you can see it is full of Hasidic Jews and hipsters- and of course young interns. Best of all, it's a great place to live and definitely helps make L.A. seem much smaller than it really is. More to follow...

FIFA Fines ESP & NED
Here is an excerpt from the NY Times soccer blog posted today, it turns that fouling players too much can financially hurt your country, and it did:
"Each time the referee Howard Webb reached into his pocket during the World Cup final last month in Johannesburg, it cost Spain and the Netherlands about $2,000. At the time, you probably didn’t hear the kah-ching of an imaginary cash register, just your team’s chances for winning its first World Cup title slipping away.
On Tuesday, FIFA hit the Dutch federation with a $14,480 fine after eight players received yellow cards, including Heitinga, and Spain was ordered to pay $9,650 after five of its players were cautioned. The fines were levied under Article 52 of FIFA’s disciplinary code, which allows for a federation to be fined when at least five of its players are issued yellow cards.
The Dutch committed 28 fouls and the Spanish 19.
The fines are pretty insignificant considering the Netherlands received $24 million as runner-up and Spain won $30 million in prize money as the World Cup champion."
Makes sense I guess, bu I think they should double the penalty and fine people who are flopping as well.

Shoreditch House (East London)
The Shoreditch House is a private members club in East London created to satisfy the needs and wants of England's societal elites. It seems to be a cross between a really nice spa/hotel/home which in the end seems very comforting. Annual membership ranges from about £700-1200, cheerio! See more here.
