Garfield staying in control. This video, produced and featuring Seattle native Sam Lachow really emphasizes the music, because that's whats important. And Ms. lady at the end can sing.

Soundtrack/Lil' Freak

Both of these videos came out yesterday and I have been waiting eagerly for their release. Kid Cudi's "Soundtrack 2 My Life" and Usher's new single "Lil' Freak." Enjoy.

I really like the art work for Christina Aguilera's new album, "Bionic," definitely something worth keeping an eye on.

Our Dreams

The Ghostface, Methodman and Raekwon (partial Wu-Tang) combo has joined up for the best and made some really good music. This is one of my favorite of their new songs. The intro to the video is a little wierd, reminds me of a reenactment of Saw or something, but the song is really nice.

The Garnetts

Jordan had the blacks, but I had these white classics.

Top 50 Redheads

GQ lists off the top 50 redheads of all-time (in their opinion of course) in honor of St. Patricks Day, and they did a good job except that some of the women's hair color in my opinion isn't the traditional red. See it here.

Philadelphia

I was in Philadelphia for the weekend visiting my Moms. I love the city. But more just for the reason I was there. She's the best Spanish teacher Philly has ever seen.

Chelsea Apt.

This new apartment is being constructed in the Chelsea neighborhood in Manhattan. The unique structure was designed by the famous architect Jean Nouvel, and I am guessing it is almost impossible to get an apartment there at this point because of the high demand. Brandon Roy: The Color Purple

"So what did Brandon do? He went old-school. Back to his basketball roots.

Purple.

And Brandon’s legacy begins with that elegant hue.

He donned it at Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington.

He began turning heads in it:

22.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game as a senior cemented Brandon’s second KingCo Conference MVP and helped him earn a Top 50 national recruiting ranking.

Brandon missed a pair of free-throws in the high school semifinals that cost Garfield the game and ended their season. That experience still drives him to this day.

And he entered stardom in it:

As a purple-clad Washington Husky senior, Brandon carried his college squad deep into the NCAA Tournament on the strength of his 20.2 points per game."

Excerpt from the New NikeID campaign, of course I had to highlight the UW and especially the Garfield reference. See the video here.

Beamer, Benz or Bentley

It's about time Lloyd Banks came out with something worth listening to. Although the song has close to no substance, the beat is dope and I am huge Banks fan.

Shawl-Collar

It doesn't even have to be a cardigan, but these shawl-collar sweaters from J-Crew are a must have, even for spring time. Once again my mom is ahead of the curve. See more of J-Crew here.

Wavin' Flag

One of the most creative artists in the game right now; K'naan created this amazing song that was recently redone by a group of Canadians that call themselves 'Artists for Haiti.' It's a powerful song, and Haiti needs the love, prayers and thoughts right now. More info on Haiti and the problems they are currently facing after the earthquake at Help Haiti Now.

capri

Last trip of my Roman experience was three nights in the beautiful Island of Capri, which is just off the Italian Coast near Naples. We had pretty decent weather except for our near hurricane rain and wind one night. It was extremely fun and beautiful regardless the weather or the water temp, when a bunch of jumped into the Mediterranean in March. Later Italy, what up States.
