Boy Meets World

At only 20 years of age, Fashawn jumped onto the scene this year with the highly praised mixtape "Boy Meets World." Growing up almost parentless, Fashawn had to become an adult a little earlier than the rest, and the maturity in his lyrics, flow, and content really shows this. His mixtape was ranked number 13 on Complex's top 25 albums of the year, above other albums like Lil Wayne's "No Ceilings" and Clipse's "Till The Casket Drops." People are saying he could be the new face of the West Coast, lets wait and see. See Fashawn Here.

Mad Man

The lead actor in HBO's popular show "Mad Men," Jon Hamm who plays an advertising mogul named Donald Draper during the fifties on New York's Madison Avenue (hence the term "Mad," where advertising thrived in the fifties), recently posed for GQ and helped show young men like myself how to properly wear the "grey power suit." In character he exudes sophistication and intelligence, and off screen Hamm seems to be the same way. Via GQ

Bape X Kanye

Kanye and Bape have teamed up again to create a "lookbook" coming in 2010. The collection is said to be "...refined, with a mixture of Japanese and American aesthetics, making the choice to work with Mr. West appropriate. The collection includes new styles of belts and as wells shirts, work trousers, tees, varsity jackets and more." But what about recession prices? Regardless, I'm excited. Via Hypebeast.

Drake Named Jew of the Year

Although Drake is constantly talking about how often and how much money he spends, it is true that Drake Drizzy Rodgers is a Jew, and is proud to be one. Drake can best be seen rolling with Lil Wayne and the Young Money Crew silently taking over the charts and creating music that is made for the VIP room. Without even dropping an official album, Drake's mixtape has put him in a league of his own and people are anxiously waiting his LP dropping March 2010, Thank Me Later. Drake was Bar Mitzvah'd in the basement of an Italian restaurant and his mom is the one who was Jewish so in terms of the Jewish law, he's officially a Jew, and arguably the best Jewish hip-hop artist since the Beastie Boys. He is not shy to where his chai necklace, a Jewish symbol for many things: life, the number 18, and is often related with good luck. Well Mazel Tov my guy and I hope this next year brings you much success... keep your religion close, and your Rabbi closer.

Saabish

Saab prototype 92001 automobile can been seen at the Saab motor museum in Trollhaettan, Sweden. Looks like the Bat Mobile's little cousin. Here are some of the earlier Saab's of which the prototype was imitated after.

Caring never pays, and if you were there than we'd be somewhere that means more to me than anyone else. I was willing to make it all worth it. Friends, family and time.

Just Did It: Meron

Good lookin' at night. The homie Meron's recent "ad project" at his school R.I.T. in New York seems to have been a huge success. Watch out for the generation.

Sex Therapy

Robin Thicke's new album: "Sex Therapy" can hopefully be as good as his former, "The Evolution of Robin Thicke." Regardless, he can sing, and the songs I've heard have been up to par.

Seems as though someone turned of age... I like the layout, don't know why it "blogworthy" but the cover art is interesting. Lindsey Lohan's latest shoot with The Fashionart Magazine at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.

A Deserving Award

President Obama accepted the Nobel Peace Prize Thursday (in Oslo, Norway) with great gratitude and relative modesty. He has not been the least "violent" President in history, but the ways in which he has conducted military maneuvers with the overarching goal of establishing a standard of solving problems more cohesively with other nations and with the goal of global peace is what has lead to his deservance.

Europe's "long lost cousin" has been found, and the members of the EU have rejoiced and recognized an American ally who is using power to establish multilateral interactions on issues from global warming to war. “I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the considerable controversy that your generous decision has generated. In part, this is because I am at the beginning, and not the end, of my labors on the world stage,” Mr. Obama said. “Compared to some of the giants of history who have received this prize — Schweitzer and King, Marshall and Mandela — my accomplishments are slight.”

As long as he stays focused and keeps long-term goals in mind, we could be in for a very successful presidential term, but one that is still very early in its duration.
